The South African Society for Clinical Microbiology key objectives include the monitoring of antimicrobial resistance patterns in the public and private medicine sector in South Africa including the publication of antibiotic resistance patterns in selected publications.

Membership shall consist of microbiologists and pathologists employed solely in public or private laboratories in Southern Africa plus nominated pharmaceutical representatives of co-sponsors. Click here to read the constitution.
